Canajah Vol. I

Independent Canadian music has always suffered the same lack of identity due to its' close proximity to our neighbouring friends in the United States. We didn't invent rap, rock, blues, or anything of unique merit. But where we lack in invention, we make up for in variety and subtlety.

It's in the subtleties where you'll find a uniquely wide gamut of sounds – minimalist psychedelic (Caribou), cocaine comedown ballads (Destroyer), drawn out ambient instrumentals (Broken Social Scene), blue collar indie rock (The Constantines). Much like our population, our audible offering is a melting pot that somehow works together, despite our unique backgrounds and perspectives. Take a listen below and feel free to share on Spotify.
